It's amazing how one day you believe you are completely healthy, then next you enter a whirlwind of uncertainty - that is exactly what happened to our young family. After a year of specialists and tests, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, this, added to my childhood asthma and other health issues began my quest to find a healthier version of myself.
On the day of my 40th birthday, I told my wife I was going to the local bike shop to check out some bikes - I came home with a mountain bike. I went on my first ride that day and something within me changed. One mile turned into 4, then 8. As my riding increased, I became interested in road cycling and eventually did my first half-century ride. My need to become a healthier version of myself emerged and I was beginning to feel like I could achieve more.
For years, my asthma had kept me from doing certain activities and I went nowhere without my inhaler. In trying to push myself out of my comfort zone, I signed up for my first sprint triathlon. The fear of being in the water with my inhaler out on the shore made things all too real for me. The Sprint triathlon turned into an Olympic, then into a Half Ironman and in 2018 I completed a Full Ironman. I can't say things were easy, but it has been worth it!
My passion for business and the triathlon sport collided, and Peakline Sports was created. Established in 2018, Peakline Sports was created to bring customers solid products I would proudly use myself.
